Nate has fun on this episode of The Backyard Preacher. Just hold on and enjoy the ride!
Nate talks about the power of the Word! Our words are more powerful than any of us realize. The ignorant speak life and death without any hesitation. Let us not be ignorant but use the power of the word to the glory of God.
As we leave 2017 and start 2018 we are living in the most divisive time that many of us have ever experienced. Left, right, liberal conservative, progressive, fundamental. What has divided us as Christians has been Jesus, but what will unite us will also be Jesus! Listen and be blessed!
I hope you get that big TV as we are in the season of greed. Is that what Christmas is all about? Nate explains a bit in his own way what Christmas is all about.
As Christians where is the country? Are we a bunch of closed minded dominionist? People who have it my way or the highway? Absolutist who do not think for themselves? Nate does not have the answers but I do know how to talk about some possibilities. My only hope is that Christians in America are not so willing to sell their souls for political power.
Nate talks about the huge increase in pay that corporations in America will receive if all goes as planned for the Republican party, in their efforts to pass a new tax bill. The old trickle down scam! Do you really think that corporations are going to increase your wage?
What is there really to be thankful for? Holiday stress, family with happy fake smiles living in homes they can not afford thankful for the bank to give out a loan. It seems like the most thankful people are the people with the least. Holidays are a high point in our lives. Days of remembrance in which should carry over all year long. Listen as Nate talks about Thanksgiving and much more!
Nate talks about true, vs. false spirituality. Specifically mind altering substances. In Nate's opinion the most spiritual people are those with or with past substance issues. The people who are seekers of something outside of themselves. Yet substance method comes at a high price. While True spirituality is found within yourself through natural means of journeying.
Nate puts a interesting twist on the parable of the wedding feast. Nate also talks about our mental health and gun control issues.
Now What? There is always going to be someone to tell you no, your not good enough, don't have enough experience, don't have enough education, or they do not like the decisions of your past. Are you going to let others define you? Or, are you going to allow yourself be defined by your God nature?
Nate helps us to find heaven. Not the heaven that one thinks of after we die, but the heaven Jesus talked most about. The kingdom of heaven is now! It is up to you to find the kingdom of God. Because as Jesus said the kingdom of heaven is at hand!
Let's be happy! The country is divided, yes we have serious issues, but we also must take care of ourselves. If we get so wrapped up in trying to be the problem solver we crash and burn. Believe me I know all to well how to crash and burn. So on this episode let us be happy together!
Would Jesus take a knee? That is the question I propose. Players taking a knee in the NFL has been a highly controversial topic that has continued to divide an already divided country. In this episode Nate talks about an event in the life of Jesus in which he did not just take a knee he went above and beyond anything that the players in the NFL are currently doing.
The final instalment of the "New Aeon" series. The most important. Your will, your purpose, what you have been put on this earth to do. We all have struggled with this and hopefully you will be able to find your will after listening to this podcast.
Part 5 of the new aeon of Christianity. The law is love. Nate Sprott talks about this law and defines the law of love in Biblical terms. Nate desires for you to walk in spiritual greatness clothed in divine humility!
We have seen the church twist scripture to control the population for thousands of years. Today we have much more information at our fingertips. Yet control, especially abusive control still remains a problem within the church. The new Aeon of Christianity follows simple guidelines no rules, no dogma just Spirit led Christianity.
Today the good Rev. Talks about sexuality a topic that is left out of most churches but must be approached; especially within this New Aeon. We must not live in shame of sexuality but instead embrace it.
Nate continues in his series of The New Aeon of Christianity. In this episode Nate examines material possessions. Also the old aeon method of tithing and giving out of psychological manipulation. Nate desires to bring the body of Christ freedom from any abuse and bondage brought on by "leaders" within the body of Christ.
Over the past 2000 years man has distorted, twisted, and perverted Christianity. We are human after all. We have created a firewall between God and us. Nate goes into detail in part 1 examining who we are? And the first point of six Salvation. The next episodes will cover possessions, sexuality, fear, love, and will.
Nate talks about several topics including fundraising. Hurricane Davie, Joel Olsteen, bullying, and finally Nate gives a recap of just what the Backyard Preacher ministry is all about. So hello, are you out there?
The idea of a place of eternal fire and brimstone has scared the money and personal freedoms of Christians for thousands of years. Yet what does the Bible really say? Does hell exist at all or Jesus the master of hyperbole using the term as a reference to drive home points within his teachings?
Today is August 21, 2017. The day the United States experienced a solar eclipse. What does this mean for America? What does this mean for you? Is there any Biblical significance to this celestial event? Nate explains all that in more on this episode of The Backyard Preacher.
In the wake of the Charlottesville, VA tragedy Nate takes a look at the hate behind why white people do what they do in this country.
Today many Evangelical churches have turned into a constant Trump rally. We are on the verge of war and many leaders such as pastor Robert Jeffress who is encouraging the president to go to war a Old Testament warrior for God. These churches as Isaiah puts it have become worthless assemblies whos worship is detestable to God. Instead what does God tell Isaiah? He tells the people to seek justice, to stop doing wrong, to defend the oppressed not to blow them up! to look after the widows and children. Basically to be like Jesus!
This is the 100th episode of this podcast, and I will be honest it has been a complete failure. With just a few downloads per episode I should just give up. That is what I should do, it is not what I am going to do. In my life I have been a failure, so I should give up there also. Stop chasing my dreams and realize I am just a working stiff. No, not going to do that either. I encourage you to listen and be motivated.
